BCS Inc. Walk to view Beaumaris Foreshore Indigenous Plants on Saturday, 2007-09-08

Those BCS Inc. members that have registered for this walk by sending an email to the above email address are asked to drive their cars, with at least half of the seats empty, to park in Sea Parade, MENTONE, and to meet the Leader of the Foreshore Walk, Geoffrey Goode, at the corner of Sea Parade and Beach Road, at 10:00 a.m. sharp to assist with the organizing of which half of the cars will be left there and which half will take, as extra passengers, the occupants of the cars that will be left behind parked in Sea Parade, while we all are driven to the starting point of the Foreshore Walk.

That starting point, where the half of the cars driven there and left parked for us to collect when we are driven back from Sea Parade at the end of the Foreshore Walk, will be in McGregor Avenue, BLACK ROCK. After parking there, please meet the Leader at the corner of  McGregor Avenue and Beach Road for the commencement of the 4 km walk back to Sea Parade, which should take less than two hours. Any queries should be made by email to the email address above.

*   Download and print the list of Beaumaris Foreshore Indigenous Plants, and bring it with a clipboard, or similar, to mark the names of plants you have been able to identify.

*   Download and print the list of Beaumaris Foreshore Non-indigenous and Pest Plants. Members might also like to bring a digital camera to record plants of interest.

*   Sea Parade, MENTONE, and McGregor Avenue, BLACK ROCK, can be seen joining Beach Road on Melways Map 86.
