to be given at local hall in New Year. Meeting considered that 20 members could be obtained. Meeting of Field Naturalists on Sept. 25th (1954) at (Donald) MacDonald Sanctuary. Mrs. (Sheila) Ridland & Mr. Scott said they would attend. Discussion of general matters concerning Native Plant Show. Booklet: Mrs. (Edith [Bea]) Hosking gave description of contents. |
Native Plant Show | further details Members to assist:- Mesdames Kerr, Simon, Russell, Stricklam, Lightfoot, and Mr. (Norman) Hosking. Tables. Mr. (Colin) Macrae said that 12 were needed. Messrs. (John) Carroll, (William) Leech & Quirk had promised to lend one. Posters. Mrs. (Susan) McDougall to be asked, also neighbours of Mrs. (Sheila) Ridland & Russell. Other publicity:– Booklet to be sent to local papers with description of show. Schools to be reminded of this competition. Working bee arranged for Oct. 8th (1954) |
Barbecue on Nov. 6th | ‘Tree’ Society to hold plant stall for seedlings & cut flowers. Names asked for, for roster of helpers. |
