NOVEMBER 2017
*STONECROP RE-INFESTATION: The Bushland Crew of Bayside City Council’s contractor, Citywide, has meticulously removed a re-infestation of Stonecrop (Sedum sp.) on the foreshore just south of the top of the ramp opposite Tramway Parade, Beaumaris.

SEPTEMBER 2017
*MRS JOAN MACRAE: Joan Macrae, nee McIntosh, BCS Inc. Life Member since 1997, resident with a bush garden in the unkerbed part of Point Avenue from 1949, and widow of BCS Inc’s Second President, Colin Macrae, died on 2017-09-18 at the age of 99.
*MRS JOAN PALMER: Joan, of Rosemary Road, Beaumaris, a BCS Inc. member since 1996 – and mother of Sue Raverty, BCS Inc’s
Facebook Manager – died on 2017-09-03 at the age of 91.

*MRS RUTH EWART: The funeral service for Ruth, a BCS Inc. member since 1996, will be on Friday, 2017-06-23, at 10 a.m.

APRIL 2017
*CONCOURSE PETITION: BCS Inc’s KEEP THE CONCOURSE GREEN, GREEN petition, over 4 weekends, has been lodged.
*MARINA EES DATE NOTED: Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron Ltd. expects its marina EES to be lodged in June 2017.

FEBRUARY 2017
*QUIET CORNER: BCS Inc. letter supports Bayside Council plan to protect vulnerable slope, saved earlier by sand, not boulders.
*CONCOURSE GREEN THREATENED: BCS Inc. has six major concerns with the Draft Master Plan proposals for the Concourse.
*VACANCY FILLED: The Committee has elected Ms Annie Price as Acting Zone 6 Leader to replace the late Adrian Cerbasi.
*ARTICLE IN THE AGE ON TREE REMOVAL: BCS Inc’s President wrote of excessive, unnecessary tree loss at the College site.

JANUARY 2017
*DEATH OF IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT: Adrian Cerbasi, BCS Inc. President 2002-10 and 2014-16, died on 2017-01-26.
