The
sign above, in May 2010, erected by Bayside City
Council, opposite 5 Beach Road, Beaumaris – which is between Cromer Road and
Hutchison Avenue – marks the site of another cutting down of foreshore trees.
It is an example of the destructive and illegal approach some people have to
Port Phillip’s public foreshore reserve.
