Bayside City
Council’s advertisement in The Age (2004-01-10) announced a proposed sale of a 2.7 metre wide strip of this treed
public land
to adjoining property owners.

 

The group
of 12 trees include 4 Manna Gums and 8 Tea Trees with 1 Manna Gum and 5
substantial Tea Trees on that strip, and the others almost on it or forming
part of this attractive group. Beaumaris Conservation Society Inc. has congratulated Bayside City Council for rejecting the
proposed sale of this important part of the Beaumaris Neighbourhood Character
and landscape.
