| Correspondence | The following correspondence was read: Bereavement Thank You Card – E.E. Baker City of Sandringham – Office Bearers Beaumaris Senior Citizens – Notification of Exhibition of Family Treasures 10th Sandringham Boy Scouts – Thank you for donations of trees Parents & Citizens Assoc.: Requesting Society to publish article in “newsletter” re destruction of native trees at Community Centre & High School City of Sandringham Requesting support for Red Cross Appeal Ferny Creek Hort. Society Invitation to Rhodo. Festival Sand. & Dist. Memorial Hosp. Requesting our support for Festival in February Field Naturalists Club of Vic. acknowledging invitation to Plant Show Moved Mr Flood Seconded Mrs (Catherine) Carroll that correspondence be received. Resolved that letter be written to Mayor of Sandringham advising him that Red Cross Appeal outside our field of activities but members may assist individually. Resolved that letter be written to Community Centre Committee requesting their support in letter to Council protesting at unnecessary destruction of tea tree at Community Centre. | Treasurer’s Report |
The Treasurer presented a statement of Receipts & Expenditure for the year showing a Credit Balance of £137/18/10. Moved Mrs Sue MacDougall Seconded Mrs (Patricia) Sinclair The Plant Show realised a profit of £10/18/10 |
| Chairman’s Report |
Mr (Colin) Macrae read the President’s Report. He outlined the Society’s activities which were concentrated on the Plant Show. This proved very successful in the Community Centre with more space for display and better facilities for the workers and nurserymen, the Foreshore and Gramatan Avenue Sanctuary. Mr (Colin) Macrae thanked the Secretary and members for their support throughout the year. |

Mrs (Sheila) Ridland moved a motion that Committee consist of President, Secretary, Treasurer & Vice-President and that regular meetings be open to anyone who may be interested. Meetings to be held every two months in the Community Centre. Seconded Mrs (Susan) McDougall |

Mrs (Edith [Bea]) Hosking suggested we all think of some ideas for 1965 to revive interest in preserving the trees left in Beaumaris. As there was no further business the meeting closed at 10 p.m. |
