You may not know but BCS committee and volunteers give hours of their time to object at council and VCAT when a new development doesn’t meet current council planning and VPO requirements.
Sadly, all too often, developers are attempting to build more dwellings on one site than is stipulated in council guidelines and are consequentially disregarding VPO (vegetation protection overlay) rules and requesting to remove vegetation that should be protected.
We would like to send a sign (quite literally) to developers that we believe in retaining neighborhood character in Beaumaris. New builds are fine, as long as they follow the rules. If you feel the same, please contact us for your FREE corflute sign to display in your front garden
